This project was designed because I’ve been in a long‑distance relationship with my partner for the last three years, and we’ve tried every game and “method” online to keep things fun and interesting. Long‑distance is basically missing your person much and trying to recreate that in‑person closeness, while also trying to live your own life without them there every day, and nothing out there really speaks to that. I wanted to make something that felt real, honest and just fun, something that didn’t pretend long‑distance is easy but also didn’t make it feel heavier than it already is. This project came from what I personally needed, a way to have fun again, feel connected with my partner, and still enjoy the relationship even when the distance gets exhausting.

I designed an activity book as well as an app for this project. They both have the same feel and visuals, but the app is meant to be something you can actually use on a day‑to‑day basis if you need it. The book is more for weekly date‑night activities where you sit down together and do something fun and screen-free.  It includes activities such as, board games, lots of interactive elements, and even some advice to help you get through the distance. The app handles the everday side of long‑distance for example, quick activities to support each other (and yourself), personalized advice, trip planning, and memory keeping. It basically takes the identity of the book and makes it more practical and immediate for everyday long‑distance life.
